Most specialists say that camshafts are parts ,which  reconditioning by build-up welding is impossible-at least very difficult; about camshafts ,made by cast iron this is something unthinkable. But good  technology gives opportunity to resize journals with wearing out beyond  possibilities of the plating technologies. RETECH?s reconditioned first auxiliary engine camshaft Sulzer 5AL25/30  has been working since1993 ;another four were made after this and lots of air-compressors  camshaft also: all of them to the original dimensions.

Perfectly know-how and good equipment RETECH has ,gives opportunity to solve problems far from scope of usual everyday activity .Such a case RETECH solved recentlty : problem was to harden two gears from main gearing ? down between main engine and propeller shaft of the ship

The gears were new manufactured , but touch between teeth faces was hardly 30% and teeth were with very low hardness.

RETECH specialists increased touch of the belonging teeth faces up to 90% and by gas- flame surface hardening increased teeth hardness up to 350 HB.

Whole job was carried out on board for 7 days?
